The square has been designed for Ebbw Vale Learning zone entrance to function as an outdoor exhibition space. Simple materials have been used in the design, which are mostly consistent with The Works Design Code. The paving using a Charcon Appalachian textured 450mm square paving stone in charcoal and contrasting charcoal colours. The pattern try to approach the facade reflexion of the Learning zone building . The paving has been stitched together to create a coherent design which reconciles the General Offices paving with possible Station Square, while preserving heritage and The Works design code.
